Updates to a range of pages to correct broken links reported.

28/03/2013 Update to Department of Health web address

The Department of Health has changed its web address. This has now been reflected in the website in the following sections:

• Healthcare Information Resources
• Current Awareness

If anyone does spot any errors then please let Cheryl, the eresources librarian know.

24/01/2013 Updates to Online Guides and Support

I have completed more updates to the Online Guides and Support section to ensure that links are up-to-date and work correctly, and to include any new material.

21/05/2012 Current Awareness

The current awareness pages have been re-vamped to include more suggested resources for keeping up-to-date at a range of levels such as current news, professional news and latest research.

01/05/2012 Current Awareness Changes

The Current Awareness pages will be amended over the next few months to re-organise and refresh the material to make it more relevant to our users.

21/02/2012 End of Zetoc message

A message has been added to the current awareness sections informing users that Zetoc will not be available to NHS users following 1st April.

07/07/2011 New subjects added to Current Awareness Form

New subject tabs have been added to the Current Awareness Service. These have also been reflectd in the Current Awareness Updates request form.

06/05/2011 News Headlines for Palliative Care

The news headlines from the Palliative and End of Life Care Current Awareness page have been added to the Palliative Care subject links page.

03/05/2011 NHS Evidence Specialist Collections Changes

Due to the changes to the NHS Specialist Collections reference to the current collection websites has been removed from the relevant Subject Links pages and the Current Awareness section.

14/03/2011 Current Awareness Updates option

Users can use the new Current Awareness Updates form to request email updates from the Current Awareness Netvibes subject pages.

03/03/2011 Addition of news feeds

News feeds from the Current Awareness service have been added to subject pages for:

• Anaesthetics
• Cancer
• Cardiology
• Midwifery

15/02/2011 Current Awareness Service Trial

We are currently trialling a current awareness service which will allow users to browse a selection of RSS feeds linked to relevant journals and news sources for specific topics. Users can also sign-up to receive the feeds in an email. Code has been added to a number of pages - News & RSS Feeds and subject pages: Clinical Education, Commissioning, Diabetes, General Practice and Nursing and Midwifery - which promotes this resource via an animated ticker-tape.

03/02/2011 Nursing News Trial

An RSS feed of news relating to the main nursing and midwifery organisations has been added to the Nursing and Midwifery subject page. This provides users with a list of recently released news from the RCN, NMC and RCM.

23/12/2010 Bulletin details added

Details of the bulletins produced by the Outreach team have been added to the bulletin page of the Current Awareness section.

10/12/2010 Current Awareness Additions

An additional page covering news and RSS feeds has been added to the Current Awareness section. Users can find out about news sources, bulletins and RSS feeds that may help them to keep up-to-date with issues affacting the health sector.
