Links to the help pages have been added for Dynamed and BMJ Case Reports on the Health Information Resources page.

15/11/2011 Dynamed made available

Links to the Dynamed database and associated help files have been added to the Health Information Resources page and the Online Guides section. Dynamed is an evidence-based clinical reference tool which is now available to our UHNS Athens users.

10/11/2011 Changes to BMJ topics

The BMJ topics have now disappeared and been replaced with BMJ Specialties. The subject pages which refer to the BMJ topics will be updated over the next week to reflect the changes.

The new eLearning Modules have been made live. These are available from the Training menu and include a range of presentations, videos and interactive learning modules to help users to learn how to use the Health Library facilities, services and resources.

A link to the Handbook of Practice Management has been added to the Healthcare Resources page to allow NHS users to link to it.

22/08/2011 Update guides & pages for new Keele sign-on details

Keele will be switching to "single sign-on" technology to allow students access to electronic resources. The online guides and web pages that refer to this have been updated to reflect the change.

A new page has been added to the "Information for..." section. This explains how the Health Library service can match its services and resources to support the Royal College of General Practitioners Commissioning Competency Framework.

A promotion feature box to link to the NHS Outreach page has been added to a number of pages where users may find it helpful to use the outreach service.

15/02/2011 Current Awareness Service Trial

We are currently trialling a current awareness service which will allow users to browse a selection of RSS feeds linked to relevant journals and news sources for specific topics. Users can also sign-up to receive the feeds in an email. Code has been added to a number of pages - News & RSS Feeds and subject pages: Clinical Education, Commissioning, Diabetes, General Practice and Nursing and Midwifery - which promotes this resource via an animated ticker-tape.

Subject links pages help you to find subject-specific information. They include resources to search for articles, guidelines and research as well as information relating to organisations, patient support and books.

The Training Course online booking form has been amended to note that the Refworks course due to take place on 3rd Feb has been cancelled.
