19/11/2013 Links to NHS-based etutorials

Links to the NHS-based etutorials to help you to use the HDAS databases and find NHS ejournals have been added to the Healthcare Resources page.

19/11/2013 NHS Oxford Handbooks

The NHS-subscribed Oxford Handbooks ebooks have been added to the Oxford Handbooks Online web page. You will need your NHS Athens username / password to access these titles.

13/11/2013 Links to database searching videos added

The Online Guides pages for Databases and the Cochrane Library now include links to the videos produced by Edge Hill. These show you how to perform searches on:

• Cochrane Library
• Cinahl ebsco database
• NHS HDAS databases

You can now try our new etutorial Using HDAS.
This is a quick tutorial that will take you step-by-step through a simple search performed on HDAS - the NHS databases search resource.

04/11/2013 Adding Social Networks

A social networks section has been added to the Find section of the website. Here you can find information about social networks as well as links to some twitter feeds.

The guide to using the HDAS databases has been updated to keep in line with recent changes to the search interface.

03/10/2013 Subject Links pages updated

The subject links pages have been updated to remove any broken links.

03/10/2013 Outreach annual report added

The latest Outreach Annual Report for 2012-2013 has been added to the website.

05/09/2013 Updates to ebook collections

The ebooks collections for nursing and midwifery have been updated to include new titles and updated editions.
A new collection has been created for anatomy ebooks.

23/08/2013 More changes to the Online Guides

The Online Guides section has been further updated. New pages include:

• Catalogue
• Map of Medicine

Additional links to the relevant etutorials have been included in existing sections.

22/08/2013 Updates to the Online Guides section

The Online Guides section has been updated to include new pages. You can now find help for:

• Articles
• Books
• Keele off-campus access
• NICE Guidelines

The sections are also being updated to include links to relevant etutorials and training sessions.

20/08/2013 Mobile page updated

The mobile page which contains links to various apps and mobile-friendly resources has been re-organised and updated. As there are now so many apps available the focus of this page has moved from listing apps to directing users where to search for them. Having said that, we do still provides links to the major resources that we subscribe to.

20/08/2013 Minor changes to the Quick Links and menu options

The etutorials link has been moved from the quick links list to the left-hand menu. The left-hand menu has been re-ordered to move more popular items further to the top.

The new training dates for Oct thru Dec have been added to the courses web pages and the booking form.

31/07/2013 Subject Links pages updates

The subject links pages are being reviewed to ensure that all the links are still current and working and to replace the current awareness headline feed with a current awareness page link.
This piece of work is expected to be completed by the autumn.

12/07/2013 Corrections made

Updates have been made to multiple pages to correct spelling mistakes.

03/07/2013 Minor changes to the online forms

Where the online forms request users to include their organisation the drop-down box now includes instructions and does not default to the first organisation in the list.

03/07/2013 FAQs updated

The FAQs page and some related links have been updated to reflect the current service.

03/07/2013 Carousel images

Carousel images have been added to the training and etutorials pages. These promote highlighted courses and etutorials to users.

19/06/2013 Changes to the Regional Libraries list

You can link to a number of different local health-related libraries via our Regional Libraries and Information Services section.

This has now been updated to remove the link to SASHA, which will no longer be maintained after August. A new list of local libraries has been added. You can check out what facilities are available at local libraries where you may be working on placements.

19/06/2013 Oxford Handbooks Updated

The ebook collection of Oxford Handbooks has been update to include new titles and updated editions of some existing titles.

The latest schedule for the training programme is now available and has been added to the website.

The PDF forms for the book ILL, journal article ILL and membership application have all been updated with the new/updated NHS organisation names.

23/05/2013 Update organisation names on the online forms

The online forms have now been updated to include the new/updated NHS organisations that we support. When you are completing a form please make sure that you select the correct organisation that you work for / study with from the options presented.

The Healthcare Resources page has been updated to include new NICE resources and provide simpler links to the NHS Athens resources.

The Department of Health has changed its web address. This has now been reflected in the website in the following sections:
